What is AWS Student Community Day Thane?

It's a student-focused event organized around AWS technologies, featuring talks, workshops, and networking with speakers and fellow students from across the community. It's part of the AWS Student Builder community initiatives.

Who can attend this event?

The event is open to all students, whether you're from a technical background or just curious about tech. No prior AWS experience is required to attend.

Do I need to know AWS beforehand?

Not at all. Sessions are designed to be beginner-friendly, with content ranging from fundamentals to more advanced topics, so there's something useful whatever your current skill level.

Is the event free to attend?

This is a paid event — a nominal registration fee applies to secure your spot. Seats are limited, so we recommend registering early to avoid missing out. Head to the Register page to complete your registration.

Will I get a certificate for attending?

Yes, participants who attend the full event will receive a certificate of participation. Details on how and when it will be issued will be shared on the event day.

How do I register for the event?

You can register through the "Register Now" button at the top of this website, which takes you to our official KonfHub registration page. Fill in your details and you'll receive a confirmation once registered.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, a nominal fee applies. Since spots are limited, completing your registration early is the best way to guarantee your place at the event.

What do I need to carry for check-in?

Please carry a valid college/student ID and your registration confirmation (email or ticket) to speed up check-in at the venue.

Can I register on the spot at the venue?

No, on-spot registrations are not available. All registrations must be completed online in advance. Walk-ins will not be permitted on the event day, so make sure you register and carry your confirmation before arriving.

I registered but haven't received a confirmation. What should I do?

First check your spam/promotions folder. If you still can't find it, reach out to us at awsccapsit@gmail.com with your registered name and email.

Venue & Travel
Where exactly is the venue located?

The event will be held at Kriyan Banquet Hall, Ghodbunder Road, opposite Hypercity Mall, Bhawani Nagar, Kasarvadavali, Thane West, Thane, Maharashtra. Full directions are available on our Travel page.

How far is the venue from Thane Station?

The venue is approximately 10–12 km from Thane Station, so please plan your travel time accordingly to reach before registrations close.

What's the best way to travel from Thane Station?

We recommend taking an auto or cab and asking for "Anand Nagar Naka" or "Kasarvadavali Naka" — from there it's only a 3–5 minute walk. Traveling by bus isn't recommended due to rush-hour timing and the long route.

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes parking is available near the venue. If you're driving down, we suggest arriving early to secure a spot comfortably before registrations begin.

Are there any spots I should avoid while navigating to the venue?

Yes — avoid getting off at G Crop Office, as crossing the road there can be risky if you're unfamiliar with the area. Ask your driver for Anand Nagar Naka or Kasarvadavali Naka instead.

On Event Day
What time should I arrive?

Registrations begin at 8:00 AM and the event starts at 9:00 AM. We recommend arriving by 8:00 AM to check in comfortably before the opening session.

Will food be provided?

Refreshments will be provided during the event. Any specific meal arrangements will be communicated closer to the date via email or on this website.

What should I bring with me?

Bring your student/college ID, your registration confirmation, a laptop if you'd like to follow along with hands-on sessions, and a charger since seating with power access may be limited.

Is there a dress code?

There's no strict dress code — smart casuals are perfectly fine. Just dress comfortably since you'll be seated through sessions for most of the day.

Will Wi-Fi be available at the venue?

Wi-Fi access will be made available for hands-on sessions. Details on how to connect will be shared at check-in.
